Low Bridges
Two bridges, each 12'6" above the road surface carry the railway over Old Oak Common Lane. The road is used by the 228 bus route (single deck) and vehicles running empty to and from the London United depot on Atlas Road. Clearly, with the risk of a double deck bus taking the same route from the depot, someone has thought in necessary to add 'Double deck buses prohibited' signs to both bridge parapets! The nearest bridge carries the tracks of the Great Western Railway's Greenford Loop Line and the distant bridge carries the Great Western London-Reading main line.

Railway bridge and street cleaners, Old Oak Common Lane
The low bridge over Old Oak Common Lane carries the little-used Acton Northolt Line, formerly known as the New North Main Line, connecting to the Wycombe Line. The line connects from the Old Oak area to a junction at South Ruislip. The workmen with high visibility overalls are cleaning the pavement, a manual operation with brooms, and a handcart holding litter bins.
