Interior of Willesden Green Library Centre
The archives and museum are on the first floor, the library on this floor. The centre also contains a Brent Council drop-in centre, a bookshop, and a cinema (now closed, I believe).

Willesden Green Library Centre, High Road, NW2
Or "library" as we used to say in English. This building is the old library, currently (August 2011) used by the Brent Irish Advisory Centre; the new library building can just be seen behind it (left).

Willesden Green Old Library
This photo is for BBC Domesday Reloaded as a recreation of a 1986 photo http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/domesday/dblock/GB-520000-183000/picture/1. In 1986 the library was being redeveloped. A large new library centre was built behind, see Image The main visual difference between the two photos is that the former front door has been blocked and is occupied by the orange and yellow sign for the library centre - there is a new door at the back. The old library was built in 1894 and extended in 1907. It is still part of the library centre, and is now used by Brent Irish Advisory Centre. Brent Council are currently proposing to redevelop the library site again as part of cost saving measures.
