Corner Shop, Willesden High Road
On the corner with Lechmere Road. Now the Peaceful Solutions charity shop, it was once a grocery store judging by the ghost signs above the door. The top one says Provisions and General Stores and then something illegible. The bottom one still says Bovril Sold Here fairly clearly, but that is painted over an even older sign which is impossible to make out apart from possibly Quaker Oats?

Willesden Green Old Library
This photo is for BBC Domesday Reloaded as a recreation of a 1986 photo http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/domesday/dblock/GB-520000-183000/picture/1. In 1986 the library was being redeveloped. A large new library centre was built behind, see Image The main visual difference between the two photos is that the former front door has been blocked and is occupied by the orange and yellow sign for the library centre - there is a new door at the back. The old library was built in 1894 and extended in 1907. It is still part of the library centre, and is now used by Brent Irish Advisory Centre. Brent Council are currently proposing to redevelop the library site again as part of cost saving measures.
