Former Police House, Tuckswood Lane
When the Tuckswood Estate was built in the late 1940s, two detached houses were built for police officers and their families to live in, on Tuckswood Lane. There were other 'ordinary' houses on the estate which were kept for police families as well: one on Hall Road, one on Robin Hood Road, one on Scarlett Road, and another one on Tuckswood Lane. This idea was used on other council housing estates around the city, too.

St Paul's Anglican Church, Tuckswood
When the estate was built in 1948, a combined church and church hall building (just visible to the left and behind the present church) was built. It was used for Cubs, Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Mothers' Union, Young Wives, etc during the week, and for church services. In the 1960s, this church building was erected, so that the hall could be separate from the worship area.
