The great Caucasian Elm in Worlingham
This great tree had a severe trim just over three years ago and has never recovered to its former glory. Before it was lopped by tree surgeons it was almost half as large again as it is now. It was originally planted in the open lands of Worlingham Park many years ago before the road in which it stands (Park Drive) was built and lined with houses. More development has since taken place and the latest, built in the late 1970s was named Hornbeam Close, so called because it was thought for many years that it was a hornbeam.

Beccles Primary Academy the former Crowfoot School
The school located in Ellough Road, was opened in 1952, the first headmistress was Miss Wrigley who had previously taught at Ravensmere school.
Built by Day & Sons of Norwich, it was completed in February 1952, at a cost of £76,000 with accommodation for 350 children.
The on site kitchen and dining hall were at the time 'state of the art'.
The playground and playing field are behind the main building seen here, on the north-eastern part of the grounds.
