War memorial plaques at Corton
These plaques are below the village sign, 'Lest We Forget'.

Corton village sign
The sign depicts a Roman soldier tending fire in the Roman signal station which once stood on the cliffs at Corton. It was discovered 1814, in an area which has now been lost to the sea. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6759945

Corton Methodist Church
Built in 1873 funded by Jeremiah Colman (of mustard fame). The church was built for the use of the Corton Estate workers. The church is built in brick with flint knapped decoration.

The Village Room, Corton
The Village Room is a village hall with a different name, but this is what it says above the door. At the rear is a meticulous bowling green. Beside it is a K6 telephone box and a pillar-box.

The unusual War Memorial at Corton
There are 14 names for WW1 and 7 for WW2. There are also the names of 2 men on the plaque at the top who died disarming a magnetic mine on the beach.
