The former Elementary School
On Briston Road, built for the children of the workers employed by the Locomotive Works for the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway. The school has since been converted for domestic use.

Former School Premises - Melton Constable, Norfolk
The war memorial is also situated on this site. Initially the Public Elementary School which was built in 1896. The cost was funded jointly by Lord Hastings and the Railway Company. It was enlarged twice, in 1900 and 1906.to accommodate 320 children ( mixed and infants). The school closed in 1984 and converted to flats.

War Memorial - Melton Constable, Norfolk
Situated on the site of a former school. As part of the British Legion National Project, the poppy seeds were set for the flowers to bloom to commemorate the one hundredth anniversary of the start of the First World War as well as the sixtieth anniversary of D-DAY. ( June 2014 )
