Winding footpath
This passageway links Newmarket Road and Hanover Road. The stone edging to the footpath has deliberately been curved, even though the passageway is straight, with substantial brick walls on either side.

Behind Newmarket Road
The substantial houses set back from Newmarket Road behind large gardens share this common access road at the rear. The jumble of rooftops and gravelled access are much less formal than the imposing front entrances. The crane on the skyline is on the site of the former hospital that is being redeveloped Image
