Great Plumstead village sign
The sign bears a close similarity to a road map of the village. It names the nine roads found in the parish with illustration of what may be seen while passing through. Cows, pigs, toads, rabbits, the old forge, orchards with apples and pears, even bulrushes. Great & Little Plumstead Scout Headquarters
The new brick and tile hut replaced the old timber hut visible on the left. The hut is named after former Scout leader Billy Maddison.
