The sign bears a close similarity to a road map of the village. It names the nine roads found in the parish with illustration of what may be seen while passing through. Cows, pigs, toads, rabbits, the old forge, orchards with apples and pears, even bulrushes. The trees are laden with plums which is a play on the village name. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6689854
