Construction site for Blaenavon Heritage VC Primary School and leisure centre
Located on Middle Coedcae Road, on land formerly used as a football ground.
The sod cutting ceremony took place in July 2010, with construction work beginning the following month. On completion, in addition to a primary school with a capacity of 450 pupils, there will be a leisure centre.

Blaenavon Freestyle Grappling Club, Blaenavon
Viewed across Llanover Road. The club website states that Blaenavon Freestyle Grappling Club was formed in 2003 by a small group of friends looking to train primarily no-gi/submission wrestling. The club also trains other disciplines such as boxing, wrestling, judo and Brazilian jujitsu.
