Viewed from the Llywelyn Road end. Clos Cae Nant is an area of Melin Homes houses and flats built c2012-2014 on the site formerly occupied by Brookfield Primary School. Behind the distant buildings is a barrier of trees and bushes at the edge of the A4051 Cwmbran Drive.

Viewed across Llywelyn Road in February 2014. This was a greenfield site, to the north of the demolished Brookfield Primary School. I didn't notice any street name signs here today.

Homebase, Cwmbran
The large store is square-shaped with sides about 60 metres long. It is located at the SW edge of the town centre shopping area, on the corner of Tudor Road and Llywelyn Road.
Homebase has about 350 stores (home improvement items and garden centre) in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
UPDATE in late December 2014. Homebase closed down in 2013. After being vacant for more than a year, the store is now a B&M home store & garden centre. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4293758

Cae Nant construction site, Cwmbran
This site was formerly occupied by Brookfield Primary School http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1640691 which closed in 2009 when the school merged with Nant Celyn Primary School in a new £6.4 million school in the Hollybush area of Cwmbran. The SCHOOL yellow marking remains on the road surface.
This early December 2012 view shows the Victoria Street side of the site for the construction of 111 houses for social housing not-for-profit company Melin Homes. Named Cae Nant the development will provide houses and flats to rent or buy. There will be a care scheme to provide a safe and secure environment for older residents.
Melin is in partnership with Torfaen council and the Welsh government to fund the development. Completion of the first phase is scheduled for spring 2013.

One building in this view has been completed externally. Another one is having the roof rafters constructed. There are several white and red CPI EuroMix cylinders in the background.
