Wildlife Mural, Ebbw Vale Trail
This street art which was painted by Andy O'Rourke took 11 days to do and features owls, bees and flowers. It was created as part of a campaign to promote the Ebbw Fach nature trail and was funded by Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council and Natural Resources Wales. After initial reticence the artist reported a growing interest and support for his work in transforming a pedestrian ramp to the nearby Ebbw Vale Clinic and Civic Centre - seen in the background.
The artist reported that, "It seems Ebbw Vale was desperate for some colour. People were saying it was the best thing to happen in years."
