Primitive Place name plate, Beaufort
The placement of the name plate led me to assume that these houses were in Primitive Place, whereas they are part of Mayfield Terrace. A small part of Primitive Place is at the right edge of the view.
The name is a reference to Ebenezer Primitive Methodist Church, now demolished.
There is a memorial garden in part of the churchyard.

Ebenezer Primitive Methodist Church Memorial Garden in Beaufort
On the east side of Primitive Place. An information board states that the Memorial Garden has been created to commemorate all those people who are buried in this graveyard.
The chapel that used to be adjacent closed in 1978 and was later demolished.

Ebenezer Primitive Methodist Chapel Memorial Garden (2)
The garden, former burial ground, after it had been cleared by a Gwent Wildlife Trust working party of the season's growth
Image in order to promote wild flowers next spring. The chapel was probably to the bottom right and would have covered part of the area now occupied by the gravestones.
