Non-white house, Maesglas Crescent, Newport
Most of the houses in Maesglas Crescent, and also in adjoining streets, have uniform horizontal white bands along the upper section of front wall. Here and there, a few houses break the regularity (or monotony!). This one is on the southern side of Maesglas Crescent, viewed from near the eastern end of Maesglas Close.

The broken wooden fence which lines part of the south side of the Close, alongside the Wales Coast Path, is presumably to lessen the noise from Docks Way behind the camera.

A glimpse of Docks Way from Maesglas Close, Newport
The SE edge of housing in the Maesglas area of Newport borders the A48, here named Docks Way. That's not a large poster ahead, but the side of a lorry travelling on the A48.

NE end of Maesglas Close, Newport
Viewed from Maesglas Crescent. Maesglas Close on the left was not part of Maesglas when the estate was built in the 1930s and does not appear on a 1960 map of Newport. For about the first 150 metres ahead, Maesglas Close runs past the backs of Maesglas Crescent house before reaching houses built c2000. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3311276
