Old-style and new-style Newport buses
This view of many buses lined up inside Newport Bus's Corporation Road depot (bus garage) is only usually seen on Sundays and Bank Holidays. At other times, most of the buses are on the streets of Newport on one of the several dozen routes operated by the company. On Sundays and Bank Holidays, all routes have either a reduced service, or none at all. This is where the buses temporarily surplus to requirements are kept.
For many decades, Newport's buses had the green and cream livery seen on the four buses nearest the camera. From August 2009, a new-look livery of dark green and white, with lime green and grey logos at the rear of the buses, is gradually being phased in. The buses further away from the camera have the new livery.
