Tintern Wireworks Pond
Behind this wall on the left of the minor road up the Angiddy Valley from the A466, is all that remains of the pond which provided the power for the Wireworks, on the right. It was fed by a leat taking water from the Angiddy higher up the valley (at about SO520002) which is now part footpath and part extended gardens.

Side road near a Forge Road monkey puzzle, Tintern
The tree is Araucaria araucana, the monkey puzzle tree, an evergreen that can grow to 40 metres (130 ft) tall with a 2 metre (nearly 7 ft) trunk diameter. This one is somewhat smaller!
