Hansons Lodge, Cwmcarn Forest
A solitary house at the end of Darran Road which terminates at the back of the house. The hillside above the house has been clear felled of larch to prevent the spread of Phytophthora fungus.The path in the bottom left, part of the Raven Walk, was closed during the tree felling.

Gateway on forestry track below Pegwn-y-bwlch
Newly painted metal gate and stile just before a sharp bend in the track in Cwmcarn Forest. the grassy path going up to Pegwn-y-bwlch is part of the Twrch mountain bike trail Image Above it and to the right is the line of the Raven Walk. The larch trees in its vicinity have been clear felled to stop the spread of Phytophthora fungus, and the paths have only been reopened recently.
