The spectacular interior of St. Mary's, Wellingborough
The church is little more than a century old and was designed by highly regarded architect, Sir Ninian Comper. The church is extremely ornate, but never vulgar, and the golds and blues blend in perfectly well with the local deep golden stone. The church is in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England and has a friendly and helpful vicar!

Wellingborough - station platform
The buildings of Wellingborough Station date from 1857 and are attributed to the architect, C. H. Driver. Since this photo was taken (1999), the colour scheme has changed and the footbridge (the steps of which are just visible at the extreme left of the photo) has been replaced. For a view of the exterior of the station, please see Alan Murray-Rust's Image

Wellingborough railway station, Northamptonshire, 2013
Opened in 1857 by the Midland Railway on the line from Bedford to Leicester. View north towards Finedon and Leicester. The two former platforms to the right were hidden by a fence at the time this image was taken. They were reopened for public use 8 years after this image was taken, the footbridge extended and all four lines electrified. See Image for a 2021 view from a similar camera position.
