The church is little more than a century old and was designed by highly regarded architect, Sir Ninian Comper. The church is extremely ornate, but never vulgar, and the golds and blues blend in perfectly well with the local deep golden stone. The church is in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England and has a friendly and helpful vicar!
