Site of Burton Latimer Station, with train
View northward, towards Kettering etc.; ex-Midland Main Line, London (St Pancras) - Kettering - Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield etc. The station had been closed to passengers on 20/11/50, but was still open for goods (until 4/5/64). An Up express speeds by, headed by a Type 4 Peak class Diesel; the Slow lines are on the right.

Footbridges over the River Ise and the Midland Railway Line
The footpath is the shortest and most convenient route from Burton Latimer to Isham, avoiding a busy minor road. It is tarmaced on the Isham side of the railway.
