View northward, towards Kettering etc.; ex-Midland Main Line, London (St Pancras) - Kettering - Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield etc. The station had been closed to passengers on 20/11/50, but was still open for goods (until 4/5/64). An Up express speeds by, headed by a Type 4 Peak class Diesel; the Slow lines are on the right.
