St Mary's Church Titchmarsh
The tower wins praise from architects and is said to be the finest outside Somerset. Monuments in the north chapel were painted by Elizabeth Creed. She was a noted painter and was a cousin of John Dryden on her father's side and a cousin of Pepys on her mother's. She frequently comes into Pepys' Diary.

Church Gate
A window above the church porch suggests a room. Does It have a given name? The ha-ha and church yard are well kept. In response to the question posed above, the room above the church porch is called a Parvise. My thanks to Alan Longbottom for helping me out on this point.
