Reflection under Erewash Canal bridge
The reflection is of Sandiacre Parish Church and Church Farm. The canal was built in 1777-1779 mainly to carry coal cheaply from mines on either side of the Erewash Valley to Leicestershire.

Church of St Helen, Stapleford
View from the north east. New building work in the churchyard, presumably for community facilities. The north aisle was rebuilt during the 1875 restoration; the lower part of the tower is 13th century, the bell chamber and spire being added in the 14t century. Listed Grade II*.

The Nutbrook Trail
This bridge over the Erewash Canal at Stanton nr Sandiacre, carries part of the Nutbrook Trail, a gentle, undemanding walk, part of which passes through what was once the mighty Stanton Ironworks.
