Attenborough railway station, Nottinghamshire
Opened in 1864 by the Midland Railway on the line from Derby to Nottingham.
View south west towards Long Eaton Junction and Derby.
An earlier short-lived station called Attenborough Gate near this site existed from 1856-58.

Attenborough Station and level crossing
Now completely unmanned.
Substantial dark brick pillars support a footbridge which I suspect is hardly ever used. When the barriers drop most pedestrians opt to wait than take the detour and climb.
