Deer Rutting Season
Wollaton Park is famed for its herds of deer, and the warning is timely.
The full wording is "During the rutting season the deer can be very aggressive in defending their space and the female deer keep well clear", which is an interesting comment on the behaviour of the females!

Middleton Boulevard, looking north from near Lime Tree Avenue
This was one of the earliest parts of the Nottingham ring road to be constructed, as part of the new housing estates created from the late 1920s in what had been the eastern part of Wollaton Park.
