Wildflower meadow
This is apparently cut on a three year cycle to promote the growth of traditional meadow flowers, and to provide a habitat for small mammals. The one featured on the information board explaining the process is Spear Thistle!

Laid hedge, Rushcliffe Country Park
On the northern edge of the wildflower meadow. A number of sapling trees have been left uncut to grow into hedgerow trees.

Reed Beds in Rushcliffe Country Park
These reed beds lie at the South Western end of the lake in Rushcliffe Country Park, and provide shelter and nest sites for water fowl. The lake is artificial, the park has been built on a former Royal Ordnance factory site.
