Basford Church Hall
Although this church hall belongs to the church of St Leodegarius, it is a good few minutes' walk and a couple of main roads away from the church building. It fronts onto Nottingham Road, and is seen here from the end of Perry Road.

Nottingham - Basford NG6
This church hall on Nottingham Road was opened in 1905 as an adjunct to the facilities at St Leodegarius' Church. The land had been given by Sir Charles Seely. It soon proved too small and two additional rooms were added in 1910. On 3rd March 1996 the Anglican Bishop of Southwell 'dedicated' the church hall thereby allowing it to be used for occasional services over a number of years. This particular end of Silverdale Road has been closed to traffic for safety reasons.

Factory Building on Nottingham Road
This appears to have been occupied until relatively recently. According to the date stone above the entrance it was built just under a hundred years ago in 1910. I don't think much for its chances of surviving much longer.

Nottingham - Basford NG6
Beyond the modern property block visible on Nottingham Road (B682) is the church hall of St Leodegarius' Anglican Church, Basford. This shot was taken with the gates of Basford Cemetery behind the photographer and looking in the direction of the city centre.

Nottingham City Transport bus in commemorative livery
Bus 676 was painted in the livery of the 1960s to commemorate the operation of the last trolleybus in the city in July 1966. It is seen here at essentially the same location as the trolleybus in this picture http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5053814 , although the stop has been moved a couple of bus lengths to the south side of the cemetery entrance. The trolleybus stop was where the tall cypress to the left now grows.
