Council Housing & tramlines, Gregory Street
These are fairly typical Nottingham Corporation council houses from the 1930's and 1940's. These ones appear to have been built just post-WWII. They look to have been altered later, as more modern pointing and brickwork can be seen over windows on the end houses of each terrace.
This section of Gregory Street has been erroneously shown on Ordnance Maps as Lenton Lane, but reference to old street directories, old maps and the house numbering shows that this is Gregory Street. Furthermore Lenton Lane is a very recent name: it was known as Trent Lane until about 1945.
