New and old alongside the Canal
Canalside apartments are at a premium, mainly replacing old industrial premises. The former mill in the foreground has been converted into modern business units. The upper storey shows the individual style in brickwork of the Nottingham Victorian architect Watson Fothergill.

Oriel window on Castle Court
The frontage http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1734201 of the Watson Fothergill warehouse is symmetrical save for this first floor bay on the left side, which has no equivalent on the right.

Castle Court
A warehouse on Castle Boulevard facing the Castle Rock and Brewhouse Yard. It is now offices and workshops.
It was built in 1894 and is the work of Watson Fothergill for paper merchants Simons & Pickard.
The rear of the building has a far more conventional warehouse look but the design of the second floor attics is continued along the side and rear elevations, see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/678717.
