Kirkby Laythorpe church, from the north
Seen on a dismal January morning. I've chosen to use the spelling 'Laythorpe' because that's how local people say the name, and (I have just checked) the parish is listed by the Church of England as 'St Denys, Kirkby Laythorpe'. http://www.achurchnearyou.com/kirkby-laythorpe-st-denys/.

The Church of St Denys, Kirkby-la-Thorpe/Laythorpe
This church was thirteenth on the list to be photographed on this day - http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3624846 The church consists of a short, two-stage west tower, a nave with a north aisle, and chancel. The nave arcade is of c. 1200 and the windows of the north aisle and the west window of the tower are early 14th-century. The chancel was completely rebuilt in 1854.
