St. Peter ad Vincula, The churchyard wall
Semicylendrical capstones lost from the churchyard wall have been replaced by concrete replacements, cast in a mould made from half a polythene fertiliser barrel.

St. Peter ad Vincula Former sundial
A former specialist sundial on the outside of the church porch. The hole for the Gnomon can be seen.
According to the church guide book this was a "Mass Clock Dial" used to determine the time for the daily Holy Communion.

St. Peter ad Vincula, Sundial
Sundial on the Church of St Peter, just above and to the left of the porch.
The legend below says "1688 gifte of Edmund Hutchinson, Genteleman'. Mr Hutchinson lived in one of the village's two Manor Houses, and is buried in the chancel of the church.
The exterior of the church would once have been whitewashed, and the lightly engraved lines picked out in black.
