Newton House at Irnham, near Bourne, Lincolnshire
The grand Grade II listed Georgian residence known as Newton House in Corby Road may once have been the Dower House to Irnham Hall and the date of construction has been suggested as 1765 when the hall was being altered although the front is thought to have been added to a 17th century house with five bays, three storeys, a cornice and later parapet. Newton House, Corby Road, Irnham
17th century Grade II Listed house altered and extended in the 18th century. Pevsner tells us it is possibly the dower house to Irnham Hall and consequently tempting to date it as 1765 when the Hall was altered but is a façade added to a 17th century house.

Newton House
Georgian dower house in Irnham village, still with original Georgian glass. This has been derelict for two generations, though at the turn of the century an estate of large houses was built in the grounds. Some minor restoration work has been done to stonework at the rear. The splendid lamppost dates only to the new housing estate.
