The grand Grade II listed Georgian residence known as Newton House in Corby Road may once have been the Dower House to Irnham Hall and the date of construction has been suggested as 1765 when the hall was being altered although the front is thought to have been added to a 17th century house with five bays, three storeys, a cornice and later parapet.
