Eden Wine Bar
Eden Wine Bar in a grade II listed, late 18th century hostelry at 5 Market Place, formerly the Blue Lion Inn. One of the many pubs with 'blue' in the name originating from the early 19th century political rivalry between the Manners family, the Duke of Rutland from Belvoir Castle and The Brownlow family from Belton House. The Manners family were Whigs and their colour was blue - local pubs declared their political allegiance in their name and were frequented by their supporters.
