Royal Mail postbox NG31 154, Isaac Newton Shopping Centre, Grantham
“Presented to the Town of Grantham from our twin town Sankt Augustin West Germany” is the inscription on the panel above the collection times. Apart from the notices, there is no indication at all that this is an official Royal Mail post box, and I wonder how much mail actually gets put in it.

An imposing Georgian house of the late 18th with Venetian window at first floor level. Shop front of late 19th or early 20th century period, now converted to a bank. Listed Grade II.

Surviving evidence in the bus station on Wharf Road of the former local operator, of long standing, of bus services in the town http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5282862 . Reliance ceased operation in 2005.

Grantham Bus Station
This replaced, in 1984, the rather cramped layout of the old bus station http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5282862 alongside the Guildhall, now occupied by Council offices and a health centre. The main operator in the town is now Centrebus, with their distinctive blue and orange livery.

No.44, with the distinctive windows, is dated 1784 on the rainwater head, no.45 to the right is possible slightly later. Both Listed Grade II.
