Instinct House
Curiously this new building on Wilford Lane has no obvious identification. It is in fact the Instinct Laboratory Office; the company describes itself as 'a unique business that studies human beings and the way in which we interact with our world'. It was designed by Rayner Davies Architects (who have an office in Nottingham); they describe it thus: 'The building links research and design offices on the first and ground floors by an elliptical staircase, providing additional ancillary facilities for the team such as a restaurant, roof terrace and auditorium spaces. A stand-out project, Instinct House is unique for a building of this type and scale, driven by Instinct Laboratory's desire to align their particular work ethic and sophisticated design sensibilities, within their working environment'. Whatever all that actually means, it's an odd thing to find in a Nottingham suburb.
