An adjacent building, of equal ugliness, has the date '1930'. This area is destined to be completely 'regenerated', see http://www.trentbasin.co.uk/

Nottingham Corporation Warehouse
Ownership is proclaimed in moulded letters along the roof parapet, with the building date, 1930, on each hoist. Along with the Cambridge Travelodge http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1778052 this must be a contender in any Ugliest Building in Britain contest....

Development of Trent Basin
According to the developers' website, the project "will provide a mix of contemporary, high-quality, low-energy homes" on a site in recent years occupied by derelict warehouses. The view of Colwick Woods opened up by the demolition of the warehouses - see Image] - has now gone. The new buildings are bound to be an improvement on the exceptionally ugly Image
