1-21 Wilson Street, Newark-on-Trent
Local vicar Dr Bernard Wilson ("an extremely wealthy pluralist of questionable character") had these built in 1766. Very plain, though brightened by colourful doors (Image]). The houses on the east side have gone. Grade II listed.

Red Brick Newark-on-Trent
Red is the colour at the corner of Kirk Gate and Wilson Street in central Newark. The Italianate tower makes a pleasing addition to the skyline.

The end house of the block built by Dr Bernard Wilson in 1766 along Wilson Street. The similar house at the other end has had a shop built into it later, but would probably have looked like this too when first built. Listed Grade II.
