The sign reads Davy's Noted Ales and Stouts, Brewery and Offices, Barnbygate. The mill presumably processed grain for the brewery.

Alien wheelie bins
On this short stretch of unmade road I found wheelie bins from the City of Leicester, East Northamptonshire and these from the mysterious HDC (I reckon there are seven possibilities - Hambleton, Harborough, Harlow, Harrogate, Hart, Horsham and Huntingdonshire). Newark and Sherwood District Council bins were conspicuous by their absence.
