Park Farm House
Looking south from Church Lane towards a large 18th century building on the Great North Road. Park Farm House is Grade II Listed and was formerly a coaching inn (possibly the former Bell Hotel) with an attached dining room by Joseph Pocklington. The main road through Carlton-on-Trent is quite peaceful as the through traffic passes by on the A1 to the west.

Park Farmhouse, Carlton-on-Trent
Formerly the Bell Inn, built in 1788 by local landowner Joseph Pocklington to serve travellers on the Great North Road. The nearer part of the building with its pair of Venetian windows either side of a central door, was built as a dining room. Listed Grade II.

Built originally as two separate houses but now combined. Fundamentally 18th century, although the bay windows are probably 19th century. Listed Grade II. The road in the foreground is the old Great North Road.
