No such thing as a tearoom in the fifties and sixties when mum and I came to Rolleston by train to visit my aunt and uncle - so it was good to have afternoon tea in the Old Vicarage garden on my first visit to the village for fifty years.

Rolleston church tower

Church of the Holy Trinity, Rolleston
View of the north side. Originally a Norman church, it was substantially extended in the 13th century when the aisles and chancel were built. The tower was added in the 14th century with the upper part added in the 15th century. The final development was the addition of the clerestory in the 16th century. Listed Grade I.
