Clipstone Colliery headstocks
There are lots of pictures of these on the site. But none appear to have a link to their Grade II listing. The List entry Number is 1380235 and the Heritage Listing is: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1380235 It would seem that they have been facing demolition for some time, but they are still here.

Another view of Clipstone Colliery
The headstocks and associated pit buildings are Grade II listed. The colliery was finally shut down in 2003.

Clipstone Colliery headstocks
The pit closed in 2003 but the grade II listed headstocks (considered to be the tallest in Europe) remain with an uncertain future as they're of no use and costly to maintain.

Living on borrowed time?
Clipstone's Grade II listed headframes and power house await approval for their inevitable demolition. They have been on the equivalent of a lingering death row since 2003 whilst their condition deteriorates steadily.
