Cauldwell Road/Derby Road, Mansfield.
Taken from the eastern portion of Cauldwell Road and looking across the A611 towards a now-isolated section of Cauldwell Road. The construction of this main road in 2005 bisected this older road. A house called Rushey Cottage occupies a corner plot to the photographer's left.

West Notts College, Mansfield.
An entrance to the rear of West Nottinghamshire College's Derby Road campus from Cauldwell Road. West Nottinghamshire College, formerly known as West Nottinghamshire College & Vision West Notts is a further education college with its other campuses in Mansfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield. The college was formed in the 1970s from an arts and technology college that was established in 1928. The main road between Nottingham and Mansfield (the A60) lies a couple of minutes away to the photographer's right.

Derby Road, Mansfield, Notts.
The western end of one of this educational site's buildings. "Vision West Nottinghamshire" College - dubbed: "a living piece of social infrastructure in grey, sand-coloured and red Proteus panels" - was completed 2014.
The entrance to Mansfield Crematorium lies just behind the photographer, on the other side of Derby Road (the A611). The junction with the main Nottingham-Mansfield Road (the A60) is less than 100 metres away on the left.
