54 Nottingham Road, Mansfield
Built c.1878, an early work by Nottingham architect Watson Fothergill, before he had developed his distinctive red brick style. Nevertheless, his use of contrasting bands is already evident. There is a benchmark http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6248543 on the corner of the boundary wall

The former Cattle Market
Building by Watson Fothergill. This is the only surviving building of his in Mansfield, the town of his birth. It dates from 1877 and is grade II listed. The use of rough-cut stone is unusual for him. The building was perhaps integrated into an existing stone-built wall.

The former Cattle Market
Building by Watson Fothergill. This is the only surviving building of his in Mansfield, the town of his birth. It dates from 1877 and is grade II listed. The listing description states that the left-hand first storey window is without its mullion. It would appear that has been restored since that was written (it was listed in 1989).
