This line gave the company access to local collieries including those at Pleasley and Shirebrook.

Despite having clearly been demolished some time ago, the bridge still appears on all scales of OS mapping. The resultant footpath diversions are however correctly mapped.

  This public footpath runs from the Skegby Trail at a point close to Quarrydale Avenue (behind the viewpoint) to Mansfield Road, Skegby (ahead). A few metres ahead a gate on the left leads to a small wooded area with a Image Just beyond the gate the Image continues toward Mansfield Road.
