Shelt Hill cottages
A row of agricultural workers' cottages, probably built for employees of the farm. At first sight these appear to be spacious double-fronted cottages, but closer inspection shows that they were clearly originally pairs of single-front cottages with shared entrance. Today the pairs have been combine to form single dwellings.

Derelict building on Shelt Hill
The upper storey of the building may well have been an outworker's workshop associated with the framework knitting industry. Large scale maps up to the 1920s name the adjacent building as New Inn.
