Benches around the Emett clock
Bench seats around the Emett Clock. Since the clock was returned to the Victoria Centre earlier in the year Image, some seating has been provided. As this picture was taken the half hour was reached so a short excerpt from the Rondeau from Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Suite Le Rappel des Oiseaux was heard as the metal birds danced.

'Nottingham Forest', Hoodwinked 2018, Victoria Centre
'Hoodwinked: a twist on the tale' was a city-wide art project that ran from July 7th to September 30th, with 33 large plastic robins placed around the city on a walking trail. Each bird was decorated with a particular theme relating to where they were placed and the businesses sponsoring them. The theme of robins was chosen due to the city's famous connection with the legendary outlaw, Robin Hood. This bird was titled 'Nottingham Forest', was sponsored by the intu Victoria Centre and was designed by Kathleen Smith. It celebrated Sherwood Forest, near to the city.

The "New Foresters" pub now sits at the side of the pedestrianised St Ann's Street. Overshadowing the "green" island in front of it are the back of the Victoria Shopping Centre car park and a couple of post-modern architectural specimens appear to dwarf the pub.
