Beech Farm, Shelford
One of several working farms in the village. All are now part of the Crown Estates but they would appear to have been developed under the Stanhope family, later Earls of Caernarvon, before passing to the Crown. All the farms display outbuildings with distinctive hipped roofs http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6803848 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6803733 , and appear to have been developed around the beginning of the 19th century.
