Malin Hill is an ancient thoroughfare running diagonally down the face of the sandstone bluff on which The Lace Market (the centre of the Saxon burgh) stands. The buildings at this end are relatively recent.

Malin Hill closed
Malin Hill, a narrow alley up the face of the sandstone bluff on which the Lace Market stands, has been closed for repairs for some while. The bollard on the right is a Victorian one carrying the arms of the Borough (not City) of Nottingham. Nottingham has been a city since Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897.
